THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and Sasha Carassi Join Forces for ‘Dance of Shadows’ Release Featuring Aquarius Heaven

THE ILLUSTRATED MAN and Sasha Carassi have released their new single, ‘Dance of Shadows,’ featuring Aquarius Heaven, today, May 8, on ILINX. The track is part of THE ILLUSTRATED MAN’s debut album, The Skin Of Time, which comes out June 12. Originally from Yerevan and now based in Dubai,THE ILLUSTRATED MAN has become a fresh voice in electronic music. He has earned support from artists like Adriatique, Bedouin, Township Rebellion, Richie Hawtin, and Joris Voorn, and his music has been played on BBC Radio 1 and Ibiza Global Radio. His work is inspired by cinema, visual art, and science-fiction, especially Ray Bradbury’s The Illustrated Man. His music tells layered stories, full of tension, emotion, and a unique edge. During live shows, his sets have the same restless energy.

Sasha Carassi started his career as a DJ in the 90s and released his first album as a producer in 2002. He is respected in the electronic music scene for his discipline, technical skill, and willingness to push boundaries. The single begins with mysterious, muffled synths and soon brings in ethereal vocals from Aquarius Heaven, set over a strong, rhythmic beat. Sasha Carassi co-produced, mixed, and mastered the track at his studio in Naples, Italy. Together, he and THE ILLUSTRATED MAN create a sense of movement, guiding the track’s changes as it tells its story through sound.

THE ILLUSTRATED MAN had this to say: “A hypnotic and fluid movement where groove emerges, enriched by soulful and expressive vocals.” Adding that “Time does not pass, it transforms. What remains is not what happened, but what it became within us.”
