Spanish producer Nau Leone recently shared a monstrous new track titled ‘Nº1 Cambio’, which he released under the electronic music imprint Be Your Own Studio Label. Born in Madrid, the producer evokes strange emotions and compresses the chest with the sheer force of his basslines.

A distorted sustained tone dominates the drop, wrapping it in dark grit. The expansive bass fills the gaps, raising the intensity of the record. Building, it chases us up to the peak before plunging us into a glacier-cold synth progression. Zealous and ambitious, the climax comes and passes, and when next we hear the minor keys of a deconstructed chord lamenting, we forget the rush of emotions that we just experienced.

With the song being soaked in unnamable feelings, Nau says, “The music comes and goes. The music accompanies. But it is in the moments when we feel most vulnerable that it penetrates us the deepest. Music moves us. It is who we are. We couldn’t be without music. Change is the centre of our lives. Life is a constant change.”
