Progressive house DJ Moullinex announces new album, Requiem for Empathy

Lisbon based producer Moullinex welcomes the arrival of Patrice Bäumel’s Remix of recent single ‘Inner Child’, the third single in anticipation of his new album ‘Requiem for Empathy’, which is set for release in March 2021. Having received support from Pete Tong at BBC Radio 1 (UK), Nemone ay BB6 Music and many more on his last collaboration with singer GPU Panic, here they once again team up for this beautiful new song that is rooted on the dancefloor but capable of taking the listener into a journey of introspective contemplation. Patrice Bäumel’s pulsating take on it only adds to the impact it has upon hearing it and in turn, feeling it.

Having carved a unique path through the European and global techno world. Patrice Bäumel is a Beatport chart topping producer and international top flight DJ, who can comfortably fit in with the stellar cast of Global Underground compilers/mixers. He’s a hero in his adopted hometown of Amsterdam for the residency at the much beloved Trouw club where he made his name. His releases on lynchpin labels like Afterlife, Kompakt, Get Physical and Watergate consistently soundtrack wild scenes from Ipanema to Ibiza. Patrice Bäumel’s remix is an essential addition to the long line of recent collaborators for Moullinex as the release of his long-awaited next studio album nears ever closer.

Always thriving in collaboration, the new Moullinex record was mixed by David Wrench (Caribou, Frank Ocean, The XX) and its artwork designed by Bráulio Amado, exploring shadow play in both photography and 3D art. Previous singles have received remix treatments by LA disco-don Poolside and UK maestro Seb Wildblood.
