Darkside, the progressive electronic duo behind last year’s acclaimed Psychic LP, have announced their split via Twitter, stating ‘Darkside is coming to an end, for now’. They also released details of what is to be their final show in September at Brooklyn Masonic Temple in New York.
The unlikely electro-rock baby of guitarist Dave Harrington and electronic producer Nicolas Jaar, Darkside’s short lifespan hasn’t left the band short on fans and their final show sold out within hours of its announcement on Twitter.
To pre-emptively ease the blow of their break-up, the band also posted never before heard tracks from their Psychic recording sessions weeks before news of their split. The songs will be included on Jaar’s Other People label compilation Work which is set to drop September 29th2014.
