BenZel share new song, ‘Wasted Love’

Duo BenZel first burst onto the electronic/soul scene with Jessie Ware’s cover of the iconic “If You Love Me”. One year on and with a handful of remixes under their belt, they’re set to release their debut EP “MEN” and have just given us a sample of what to expect by sharing “Wasted Love” featuring singer Stevie Neale.

BenZel (who claim to be two Japanese foreign exchange students who bonded over a love of ankle socks) are Two Inch Punch and Benny Blanco. Between them, they have worked with some of the biggest names in pop and are executive producers for Ware’s upcoming LP.

The track consists of a laid-back yet precise melody that pushes Neale’s vocal to the forefront. BenZel’s delicate production contrasts a distorted vocal and pulsating chorus beats. Pulling influences from soul, R&B and electronic music, the outcome is a smooth and sensual track.
